Maldivian donations assist 200 Palestinian families

The International Aid Campaign (IAC) has assisted 200 more Palestinian families with the donations provided by Maldivians.

The IAC stated that it has provided USD500 in cash to 200 Palestinian families through the Gaza Emergency Relief Fund. The IAC stated that the donations are distributed to needy families in Gaza's Deir al-Balah area. The money is expected to provide some relief to the families, as shops and markets are located in the area.

The IAC had distributed a total of USD100,000 to assist Palestinian families in October. The funds were also distributed in cash amounts of USD500 to 200 families, including those that lost family members and those whose homes that were demolished.

The IAC had also conducted a special telethon with the Maldivian media in support of Palestinians impacted by the escalation of violence in Gaza. In addition, the IAC volunteers have visited hospitals and distributed toys to around 700 children.

The Gaza Emergency Relief Fund has received USD1.8 million as of November 3. The IAC highlighted the importance of expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza who are living in fear and insecurity. The Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed over 10,000 Palestinians.
