Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has launched Raajje Transport Link (RTL) minibus service in Kulhudhuffushi City.
The bus service was inaugurated by Minister of Defense Mariya Ahmed Didi and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MTCC Adam Azim at a small function held in Kulhudhuffushi.
Speaking to PSM News, Azim disclosed that there will be a total of two minibuses in operation in Kulhudhuffushi. He further specified that these minibuses will be 22-seaters, identical to the ones commonly used in Male' City.
MTCC has announced that the minibus service will undergo a trial period starting on September 28, during which passengers can enjoy free rides. This trial period is designed to allow customers to become familiar with the service and its routes and MTCC is committed to improving the service based on customer feedback received during the period.
MTCC highlighted that the introduction of the bus service in Kulhudhuffushi, the most populous island in the northernmost region of the Maldives, will be a significant relief for students and the general public. In addition, MTCC had previously launched a similar bus service in Dhidhdhoo, Haa Alifu Atoll, in September.
