Maldives Correctional Service, DNR sign data verification agreement

An agreement has been signed between the Department of National Registration (DNR) and the Maldives Correctional Service to verify information required by the Correctional Service.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ahmed Aly, and Commissioner of Prisons, Hassan Zareer.

According to the Department of National Registration, this agreement will enhance the accuracy of information, while making the process faster and more efficient.

It was noted that verifying family information will help confirm whether individuals visiting inmates are family members. Additionally, it will ensure access to the most complete and up-to-date information related to inmates.

The Correctional Service also stated that, as a result of this agreement, information related to inmates and detainees under its supervision, as well as details of their families, can be verified more easily.
