The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) has begun submitting documents to courts via an online portal.
PGO used the Online Government Service Portal to submit its first document to the Drug Court. PGO has implemented a policy to submit all court documents through the portal.
PGO stated that it is conducting a programme with the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA) in Maafushi Kaafu Atoll to familiarise the courts with its online services. Future programmes will also be conducted for courts in Male' and magistrate courts.
PGO introduced its online services to quickly send documents between various government agencies and make its services more efficient. The services are available to institutions and the public.
