Male' City Council unveils nursery in Hulhumale'

The Male' City Council has inaugurated a special nursery outlet in Hulhumale', named Male' Fehi. The nursery was officially inaugurated by the Mayor of Male' City Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The project aims to provide a wide range of trees and fertilisers to the public.

Notable offerings in the nursery include an extensive selection of bougainvillea in various captivating colors, in addition to date trees that are available for purchase. A unique feature of the Male' Fehi outlet in Hulhumale' is the Butterfly Garden. The city council said the garden promises to be a captivating sanctuary where visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. The council said plans are in motion to introduce different butterfly species in the future. The council envisions cultivating approximately 1,000 species of butterflies as part of the initiative.

The Male' Fehi nursery and the broader 100,000 tree programme are integral components of the Male' City Council's forward-thinking Strategic Action Plan for the next five years. The plan is developed in collaboration with experts in the field and actively involves the city's residents, ensuring that it aligns with both the environmental and community needs of Male' City.
