Nazim pledges to build fish export facility in Madaveli, Hoandedhdhoo

Mohamed Nazim, the presidential candidate of the Maldives National Party (MNP), has pledged to build fish canning and exporting facilities for Madaveli and Hoandedhdhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.

At a campaign event in Thinadhoo, Nazim said Madaveli and Hoandedhdhoo are fishing communities that should have more revenue-generating opportunities. He also noted that the islands have not been adequately developed and pledged to build facilities to freeze, can, and export fish products.

Additionally, Nazim provided details on his development plan for Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll. He said that he would make efforts to regain state control of Kaadhedhdhoo Airport and develop it to international standards if he were elected president.
