The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has affirmed that the security operation carried out in preparation for the upcoming presidential election will not compromise the voting rights of any police officer.
MPS has refuted allegations suggesting that police personnel are being denied the opportunity to vote due to their deployment to various islands in connection with the election. MPS has meticulously organised the deployment, including re-registering destinations in advance, ensuring that all police officers involved in the operation retain their right to vote.
Under Operation Blue Wave, MPS will be stationed in all islands to ensure security for various election-related activities.
