Ilyas Labeeb, the presidential candidate of The Democrats, has pledged that students will not be required to commence loan repayments until they secure employment.
Speaking at a campaign event, Labeeb remarked that students who pursue higher education overseas with the support of loans often find themselves obligated to start repaying those loans before they are financially capable. He noted that it leads many students to rely on parental assistance to clear debts immediately upon completing higher studies. He, however, pledged that students will not be required to commence loan repayments until they secure employment under his administration.
Additionally, Labeeb declared his intention to revise the existing rules and regulations concerning the repayment of substantial loans, a burden that numerous students are currently tasked with. He also pledges to establish a simplified repayment system for such loans.
