Nazim pledges to provide free education from primary to Ph.D.

Mohamed Nazim, the presidential candidate of the Maldives National Party (MNP), has pledged to provide free education to students from primary to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) level.

At a campaign event in Huraa, Kaafu Atoll, Nazim said that he would provide free education for Ph.D. research students. He added that providing adequate education is a government obligation and that the government should also cover the cost of Ph.D. research that may benefit the country.

Additionally, Nazim highlighted the importance of teaching various skills in schools to prepare students for the job market. As such, he said that his administration would commence vocational training at schools. He also spoke on the current state of the judiciary and said that he would ensure that the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is an independent institution under his administration.
