The Maldives and Mongolia have signed the Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements which allows for the exemption of visa requirements for both country’s nationals for a period of 30 days.
The agreement was signed High Commissioner of the Maldives to India Ibrahim Shaheeb and the Ambassador of Mongolia to the Maldives Ganbold Dambajav. The signing ceremony was held at the Embassy of Mongolia in New Delhi.
During the discussions at the signing ceremony, High Commissioner Shaheeb thanked Mongolia for its commitment to strengthening the existing bilateral relations between the two countries and expressed hope that the signing of this agreement will facilitate avenues for engagement and people-to-people contact between the Maldives and Mongolia.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Dambajav expressed keen interest in strengthening the existing bilateral ties with the Maldives. He also reaffirmed their commitment to continue working closely in the multilateral arena.
