President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has officially inaugurated the new football ground in Maafaru, Noonu Atoll.

The newly inaugurated football ground in Maafaru, layered with turf, boasts state-of-the-art amenities and facilities. Nexta Maldives Private Limited laid the subbase layer of the football ground, while Myna Sports Field Private Limited was responsible for installing the turf. These enhancements will provide an improved playing experience for athletes and sports enthusiasts in the island.
The administration has implemented a number of initiatives to provide modern football grounds, futsal fields, and sports courts across the atolls. These efforts aim to promote healthy and active lifestyles among young people and foster local athletic talent development.
