President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the completion of four infrastructure projects in Henbadhoo, Noonu Atoll.
The projects include the water supply network, coastal protection, an upgraded harbour, and the Fenaka Corporation Limited office and powerhouse. The water supply network in Henbadhoo was contracted to the Male' Water and Sewerage Company Private Limited (MWSC). The project has now been completed, with water supply connections established for 162 households on the island and the service fully operationalised. The coastal protection project encompassed the development of a 235m revetment and 25m groynes.
Additionally, the upgraded harbour was built to modern standards by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Limited (MTCC). The harbour and its channel's basin were further dredged, port lights were installed, and pavement was constructed.
Following the inauguration of the harbour, President Solih opened the new Fenaka office and powerhouse. The facilities are equipped with modern amenities, with the office able to accommodate 15 staff members and the powerhouse having a power generation capacity of 498KW.
Under President Solih's leadership, the administration has made significant progress toward achieving equitable development across all inhabited islands in the Maldives. The progress made includes improving the quality of life for citizens and empowering them to lead dignified lives.
During his visits to various islands, President Solih is officially inaugurating the completion of numerous projects and services.
