Umar Naseer prioritises on combating drug-related issues

The presidential candidate Umar Naseer has emphasised that his primary priority, as outlined in his manifesto, is to rescue the nation from the clutches of drug-related issues. He made the remarks while addressing a neighborhood gathering in Male' City.

Speaking at the gathering, Umar conveyed that the issue of drug abuse is an escalating concern across the entire nation, causing widespread societal degradation. He emphasised that regardless of the government's efforts to develop infrastructure such as roads and harbors, the pressing matter of drug abuse remains pivotal as it deeply affects families. He also underscored the necessity for a resolute leader to tackle this challenge head-on. He declared that his manifesto is centered around the pivotal goal of liberating the Maldives from the clutches of the drug epidemic.

Furthermore, Umar highlighted that the scourge of drugs has infiltrated the lives of over 7,000 families within the Maldives. He noted that this distressing reality often goes unaddressed by many politicians. Umar emphasised that his manifesto places significant emphasis on combating the drug problem due to its direct impact on the general populace.
