MPS opens Noosandha branch in Addu

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has opened a branch of its clinic called Noosandha at the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement in Addu City.

It is the first Noosandha Clinic to open outside Male’ City. The branch in Addu was opened by the Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed. The clinic currently treats only police officers, the families of police officers, and suspects in police custody and plans to open the clinic’s services to the public in the future. The Noosandha Clinic in Addu offers general practitioners and specialists in different diseases, along with pharmacy services, X-rays, and scanning facilities.

Funded by the Government of India, the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement can accommodate 340 trainees simultaneously. The academy also provides various sports and exercise facilities to promote health and wellness.
