The Maldives and Russia has held discussions on further strengthening bilateral relations between both countries. The discussions were held following the courtesy call paid by Ambassador of Russia to the Maldives Levan Dzhagaryan on Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
During his visit, Ambassador Dzhagaryan conveyed warm greetings and best wishes on behalf of President Vladimir Putin of Russia to President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, in celebration of 58th Independence Day of the Maldives. Both countries discussed further strengthening bilateral relations between the Maldives and Russia.
Ambassador Dzhagaryan also visited Minister of Defense Mariya Ahmed Didi. Discussions focused on avenues of bilateral defense cooperation between both countries.
