Ministry of Education has announced that Arabiyya School students will commence their studies in the temporary building of Dharumavantha School for the new academic year.
The students of Arabiyya School will be attending classes in the temporary building of Dharumavantha School next to Velana Building, while the students of Dharumavantha School will be studying in the new building being constructed in the vacant plot in front of Villa College. The building being developed for Dharumavantha School is currently undergoing finishing work.
The education ministry temporarily relocated Arabiyya School students after the authorities decided that the building was not safe for teaching. The education ministry contracted Amin Construction Private Limited to design and build the new Arabiyya School building. The agreement was signed with the company on September 29, 2022. The contractor has been tasked of completing both building s within 440 days. The new building is being constructed on the land plot that housed the former Jamaluddin School.
