Hulhumale’ Hospital to expand dental services

Hulhumale’ Hospital has decided to expand its dental services due to increasing demand. The hospital began services 19 years ago and has rapidly emerged as a reliable medical facility with specialist services.

Speaking to PSM News, Director General Moosa Haleem highlighted there has been a significant surge in demand for dental services, making it the most sought-after area of healthcare. He said that dental services are currently provided using two dental chairs but that the hospital plans to establish a dental department, expand its services, and add four more dental chairs.

Hulhumale' Hospital is actively working towards enhancing the quality of its services. As such, an online memo system has been introduced for doctor appointments to facilitate convenience for patients. In addition, the hospital's eye department, cancer department, and physiotherapy department have gained significant trust and appreciation from the public.

Furthermore, Hulhumale' Hospital has taken significant steps to address the growing needs of patients. The hospital has extended its dialysis services to operate 24 hours a day to cater to the rising number of individuals with kidney disease. A General Practice Clinic has also been established in Hulhumale' Phase II to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the community. The hospital is also actively involved in the construction of an operation theatre, along with a new intensive care unit (ICU) and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
