The Maldives Media Council (MMC) has opened nominations for the Journalism Awards 2023.
MMC hosts the Journalism Awards to award and uphold the work of individuals who show excellence and make valuable contributions to the field of journalism. The awards will be presented to journalists in 12 fields of the news article and broadcasting categories this year. The fields include investigative journalism, the social sector, the legal and judicial sector, the business sector, and the sports sector.
The nominees are required to be Maldivian journalists who worked at a registered media company for a minimum of nine months between January 1 and December 31. The journalists can only be nominated for one of the fields.
MMC will be accepting nominations until July 2 and the relevant application forms and the guidelines are available at the council’s website.
