The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched an internship programme with Care Society.
An agreement was signed between MACL and Care Society to launch the programme. Deputy Managing Director of MACL Ibrahim Thoha and Executive Director of Care Society Ahmed Athif.
Under the agreement, four students will have the opportunity to gain practical work experience at Velana International Airport (VIA). In addition, MACL will sponsor the one-year course fees for a student completing a vocational training programme at the Care Society and a student completing an education enhancement programme. The agreement also includes the installation of Care Society fund boxes at VIA.
MACL stated that the internship programme will be an important step in helping the students to stand on their own feet and make a difference in the workplace. Many government institutions are providing opportunities for students just finishing school to experience the work environment and advance in various fields. These opportunities will give provide students information about the fields in which they can pursue and prepare them for the environment when they enter the workforce.
