The Maldives State Shipping Company Private Limited (MSS) has stated that it has facilitated the transport of goods to businesses from any country.
Speaking to PSM News, Executive Director Mohamed Nazim said that businesses can request to bring in goods from any country as MSS can handle shipments via a freight forwarding from countries that do not have MSS containers. He also noted that MSS regularly transports goods from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Kuwait, Indonesia, and China. He said that MSS has captured these markets and also handles 50-60% of the shipments between Male’ and Colombo in Sri Lanka.
MSS is a shipping and logistics company owned by STO, offering an extensive international liner shipping service. MSS began its services in 2020 to reduce the price of goods imported into the country.
