Managing Director of Agro National Corporation Limited (AgroNat) Haroon Rasheed has been transferred to the Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC).
Haroon was transferred to MFMC after being dismissed as Managing Director of AgroNat. He was appointed to the position in 2020.
AgroNat was established by the government in 2020 to market agricultural produce from local farms and provide a better income for farmers by providing technical and financial assistance and helping them market their produce. The company has established contracts with around 800 farmers to produce 17 different types of fruits and vegetables.
