Maldives and Serbia exchange views on rapid relationship growth

The Maldives and Serbia have exchanged views on the rapid growth in the relationship between both countries in the past few years. The statement was made in a telephone call between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives Abdulla Shahid and Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabić.

During the phone call, Prime Minister Ana Brnabić and Minister Shahid agreed that both countries share common perspectives on key issues despite the geographical distance. They also reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together on bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual importance.

The Maldives and Serbia also held extensive discussions on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries during a meeting with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and President Aleksandar Vučić on the sidelines of the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) in Doha, Qatar.
