New police recruits take oath of duty

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has conducted the oath-taking ceremony for new recruits.

The newly recruited police officers were sworn in at a ceremony held at Iskandar Building. A total of 142 newly recruited police officers took their oaths at the ceremony. The new recruits that joined MPS include 53 female police officers and 89 male police officers.

The ceremony was attended by Head of People Directorate Chief Superintendent of Police Mohamad Bashir, Head of Workforce Planning and Management Chief Inspector of Police Sultan Ahmed Bishar, and Head of Recruitment and Deployment Unit, Inspector of Police Hussain Sharif.
