Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage Yumna Maumoon has arrived in Kulhudhuffushi City in Haa Dhaalu Atoll on an official visit to identify ways to preserve and promote culture and customs.
During the trip, Minister Yumna visited the privately run Rahvehi Aasaaru Museum in Kulhudhuffushi. The museum contains more than 170 artifacts, some of which are 117 years old. She also met with the Haa Dhaau Atoll Council to learn how to preserve and promote culture and customs.
Furthermore, Minister Yumna will visit six other islands in the atoll. These include Vaikaradhoo, Makunudhoo, Neykurendhoo, Nolhivaram and Nolhivaranfaru. During her visit, she is scheduled to meet with the island councils, women's development committees (WDCs), and various artists on the islands. She is accompanied by several senior officials from the heritage ministry.
