Maldives and Timor-Leste have reaffirmed their commitment to working together in matters of mutual interest and their dedication to further strengthening diplomatic relations between the two nations. The statement was made during a meeting between President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and President Dr. José Ramos-Horta. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 5th United Nations (UN) Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).
During the meeting, President Solih and President Ramos-Horta discussed issues of mutual interest, both regional and international, and agreed to work together to achieve a common goal. The two leaders also highlighted the vibrant relations between the two nations.
President Solih is in Doha, Qatar, to attend the 5th UN Conference on the LDCs.
