President reiterates commitment to advocate for Palestine

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has reiterated the commitment of the Maldives to advocate for the rights of the Palestinian people. He made the statement during a meeting with the President of Palestine Dr. Mahmoud Abbas, on the sidelines of the 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

Speaking at the meeting, President Solih reaffirmed the strong support and unwavering commitment of the government and the people of the Maldives to the people and the government of Palestine in their quest to achieve their legitimate right to self-determination. Both leaders also discussed shared values and strong cultural ties between the two countries.

Speaking at the meeting, President Abbas conveyed his gratitude to President Solih, the government, and the people of the Maldives for the support extended to Palestine and its people. In conclusion, President Solih repeatedly affirmed the commitment of the Maldives to advocate for the rights of the Palestinian people in their quest for recognition and dignity and promote their cause.
