First Lady calls to make workplaces stress-free

First Lady Fazna Ahmed has called to make workplaces stress-free and to remove the challenges faced by employees. She made the statement after inaugurating the National Human Resources (HR) Convention and Expo 2023. The event is the largest gathering of HR professionals, leaders, thinkers, and colleagues from various organisations.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the third edition of the convention, First Lady Fazna spoke on the importance of making workplaces that bring comfort to employees. She mentioned that the complaints of the employees must be heard and workplaces must provide ease for employees to work. She also highlighted the challenges faced by employees and spoke of the importance of establishing equal opportunities for all employees.

Over 400 participants joined the convention, which is organised by the Maldives Association of HR Professionals (MAHRP) under the theme Creating Value and Leading Companies. The event aims to guide HR professionals, leaders, business owners, and stakeholders to understand the role of HR and how HR teams can lead organisations and add value. The convention features TedX speakers, Forbes-recognised entrepreneurs, HR experts and leaders from various industries, and regional experts on recent HR trends and emerging people development areas.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, President of MAHRP Ahmed Ibrahim said participants will be able to gain new knowledge and experience they can implement in their work. He called on attendees to fully take advantage of the event.

MAHRP is the first non-profit organisation in the Maldives dedicated to training and creating awareness for HR professionals. The main objective of MAHRP is to provide assistance to HR professionals and to provide much-needed resources for HR by connecting with key personnel from the international arena.
