AP says it is only party to not compromise on principles

President of Adhaalath Party (AP) Imran Abdulla has stated that AP is the only party to not compromise on its policies and principles during changes to the country’s leadership. He made the statement at the opening ceremony of the programme being conducted to complete the milestones of the party’s strategic plan.

At the ceremony, Imran said AP was formed to maintain Islamic principles in the Maldives during its transition to a growing democracy. He noted that AP was formed in 2005, becoming the third registered political party in the Maldives, adding that all of the party’s work is founded on Islamic principles and reformation.

Additionally, Imran said the path of AP has been clear since its inception and that it has continued to make progress while never compromising on its principles despite the changes to the country’s political sphere. He said it is a stark contrast to the two parties that were formed prior to AP.

Furthermore, Imran said that the country needs capable and educated young people to step up as leaders and expressed confidence that the programme being conducted by AP will provide opportunities for the youth to participate in leadership roles in politics.
