EPA to take action over failure to submit monitoring reports

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced that it will take action against companies that fail to submit monitoring reports from January 1, 2023.

In a press release, EPA stated that many project operators are not submitting monitoring reports and the agency also noted that some project operators are not notifying of the start date of the project as they have been told to do.

EPA is requesting the due diligence report on permits required under the Environmental Protection and Conservation Act and its regulations, information related to such permits, violations, actions taken by EPA, and much more. Therefore, from January 1, companies that do not submit monitoring reports will be required to submit their due diligence reports. EPA also urged the project operators to continue submitting the monitoring reports as per the schedule.
