President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have inaugurated the new multi-purpose hall developed at the school in Alifushi, Raa Atoll.
President Solih and First Lady Fazna inaugurated the multi-purpose hall and toured the facility during their visit to Alifushi. They were warmly welcomed during their visit to the school.
At the inauguration ceremony, Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali highlighted the importance of establishing facilities such as multi-purpose halls in order to promote a well-rounded education for students. She said the government has planned 221 similar projects and completed 48 projects.
Principal of Alifushi School Aminath Jameel said the opening of the multi-purpose hall will allow students to participate in more school activities.
President Solih laid the foundation stone for the multi-purpose hall in 2019. Over USD65,000 was spent from the state budget for the project. The administration is undertaking numerous projects across the country to develop educational infrastructure.
