Ministry of Education has announced that Meemu Atoll Education Centre (MAEC) will begin teaching in one session at the beginning of the second term in January 2023.
The ministry said the project to construct eight classrooms and a multipurpose hall in MAEC in Kolhufushi, Meemu Atoll, has been successfully completed. The ministry said, therefore, the MAEC will be converted to a single-session school from the second term of the academic year.
Swift Engineering Private Limited was awarded the project for the construction of eight classrooms and a multipurpose hall in MAEC in January 2020 for a cost of USD909,000.
