Contractor hired to build eight classrooms in Goidhoo School

The Ministry of Education has hired Afami Maldives Private Limited to build eight classrooms in Goidhoo School.

The agreement was signed by Senior Policy Director at the Education Ministry Naushad Ibrahim and Managing Director of Afami Maldives Ameen Mohamed. The company is required to build eight classrooms to solve the space constraints in Goidhoo, Baa Atoll, within one year at a cost of USD780,000. The project is included in the 2021 Public Sector Investor Programme (PSIP) budget.

The government has been solving the issue of space constraints in schools in the atolls by building more classrooms and multi-purpose halls.
