President inaugurates largest table tennis facility in Maldives

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has inaugurated the Male’ Table Tennis Hall, the largest facility dedicated to the sport in the Maldives. Vice President Faisal Naseem and Minister of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof accompanied President Solih to the opening function, along with athletes and children learning table tennis.

The 12-table facility was opened as part of the administration's efforts to promote the sports sector. The administration opened a table tennis hall in Hulhumalé in 2021, followed by one in Fuvahmulah City this year.

The administration is committed to developing sports facilities across the country and providing training opportunities for athletes. The Maldives has also hosted numerous international sports events this year.
