Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has revealed that the Maldives Travels Awards will be held in 2023.
The Maldives Travel Awards have been organised by MATATOsince 2012 to recognise companies working in the tourism industry in the Maldives. It has been postponed for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking to PSM News, President of MATATO Abdulla Giyas Riyaz said the award night will take place again next year after a break of two years. He also said the award night is highly regarded by many resorts, guesthouses, and liveaboards in the Maldives.
The Maldives Travel Awards is the most prestigious honour given in the field of tourism in the country. MATATO has hosted eight editions of the awards so far.
