Hardrock Maldives hosts charity campaign for breast cancer awareness

Hard Rock Hotel Maldives has hosted a Pink Fun Run as part of its 23rd annual Pinktober campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer. The charity run event was held at The Marina and Hard Rock Hotel Maldives in Crossroads on October 23.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the impact of breast cancer. Throughout the month, the public, institutions, associations, and companies use the color pink to advocate for breast cancer awareness.

Speaking to PSM News, Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Maldives Abdulla Maufeed said the aim of the Pinktober campaign is to raise awareness of saving lives through breast cancer research and life-changing support and to involve as many people as possible in fundraising.

Noting the huge response to the annual Pintober campaign, Mufeed said 38 employees of Hard Rock Hotel Maldives participated in the Pink Fun Run event among many from the public.

The target for this year's Pinktober campaign is USD3,000.
