Shaheeb to be appointed as Non-resident Ambassador to three countries

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has requested the Parliament of the Maldives to approve the appointment of the High commissioner to India Ibrahim Shaheeb as Non-resident Ambassador to three other countries.

President Solih requested the Parliament to approve Shaheeb as the Non-resident Ambassador to Bhutan, Nepal, and Azerbaijan. The request has been sent to the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations for evaluation.

High Commissioner Shaheeb completed a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore. Earlier, he served as the Chief of Protocol, and Additional Secretary, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
