A delegation of senior Maldivian government officials is accompanying him on the visit.
During the visit, President Solih and First Lady Fazna are also scheduled to meet with state dignitaries during their visit. The two governments will hold bilateral talks to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, after which a number of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) will be exchanged. The president and the first lady will also attend a luncheon hosted by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in their honour.
President Solih last travelled abroad to the United Kingdom (UK) last month to attend the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
