Maldives Bureau of Statistics (MBS) has stated that enumerators taking part in Census 2022 will carry official passes.
The enumerators will be carrying the passes when visiting households and businesses. The passes can be verified by visiting census.stag.mpao.mv and typing the enumerator's identification number. MBS urged individuals to call its hotline at 1423 if someone who claims to be an enumerator cannot be verified on the website.
The verification method was introduced to prevent individuals from disclosing personal information to unverified sources. The website can be used to verify enumerators and submit complaints regarding their work.
