In a message of condolence sent to the King of the United Kingdom (UK) King Charles III following the passing of the longest-reigning British monarch whose rule spanned seven decades, President Solih expressed grief over the news. He sent condolences on behalf of the people of the Maldives to the British Royal Family following the unfathomable loss.
Furthermore, President Solih noted the glorious reign of 70 long years of Queen Elizabeth II has seen a life full of giving to her duty, her people, and her commitment to making a difference in the world. He added Queen Elizabeth II also been a beacon of strength and unity for the Commonwealth, expressing hope that the stories of her perseverance and sense of duty will live on to inspire generations to come.
