Construction of four new schools in Hulhumale’ to be completed next year

Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali has stated construction of four new schools in Hulhumale’ is expected to be completed next year.

Speaking on the progress of infrastructure development projects underway in the education sector, Education Minister Dr. Aishath Ali stated six schools are under development across Hulhumale’ Phase I and II. The minister revealed the Ahmed Kamil Didi Preschool will be completed next month, while the primary school is expected to be completed by October. Furthermore, she noted Salaahuddeen School in Hulhumale’ Phase II, which would accommodate 3,000 students across LKG until Grade 10, will be completed by January next year.

Speaking further, the education minister said in addition to Salahuddeen School, three more schools in Hulhumale’ will be completed next year. This includes the new building of Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Hulhumale’ Phase I.

The education ministry is undertaking a large number of projects across the country to develop infrastructure and increase capacity of schools. As such, 208 projects are underway across the country to develop 1,150 new classrooms, 79 multipurpose halls and 261 other school facilities.
