Vice President Faisal Naseem has discussed the development of Kalaidhoo, Laamu Atoll. The discussions took place with the Kalaidhoo Island Council at the President's Office.
During the meeting, the Kalaidhoo Island Council expressed concern over the failure to commence the construction of the causeway connecting Danbidhoo and Kalaidhoo ports, the need to protect the rural areas, and the importance of a multipurpose hall for the school, and other issues for the socio-economic development of the village.
During the meeting, Vice President Naseem shared the latest information on the development projects mentioned by the council members. As such, the vice president said the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) of the causeway is underway. In addition, he assured that discussions regarding matters put forward by the council would be held with relevant authorities.
