Scholars can apply for permits to deliver Islamic lectures via portal

Ministry of Islamic Affairs has officially launched the Dharus Portal, through which scholars can apply for permission to deliver Islamic lectures.

Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Zahir Ali launched the portal during a meeting with religious scholars. The portal is intended to make it easier for lecture organisers and those wishing to give lectures to obtain permission. Previously, permission to deliver lectures had to be requested through a form submitted to the ministry. The portal makes it easier to apply for permission and eliminates the need for a form, according to the Islamic ministry. As such, after registering on the lecture portal and applying for permission, the applicant will be notified via SMS when permission is granted. Religious scholars, associations, and councils can apply for permission through the portal.

The ministry further noted the applicant can notify the ministry via the portal whether the lecture was held or not after obtaining permission to hold a lecture through the portal.
