Public Service Media (PSM) has decided to outsource the audits of the company.
Managing Director of PSM Ali Khalid stated the decision to outsource the audits of the company was taken after reviewing the work of the company’s internal audit department over the past 14 months. Khalid said the board concluded that the audit department has not been able to carry out its work to the expectations and standards of the company. Therefore, he said the board has decided that it would be in the best interest of the company to outsource its audits.
An internal audit department was established in PSM to prepare audit reports of the company. However, the audit department has not been able to fulfill its responsibilities during the period.
