IASL seeking contractors to renovate Thimarafushi Airport

Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL) has issued an announcement seeking contractors to renovate and upgrade Thimarafushi Airport in Thaa Atoll.

The announcement by IASL stated contractors interested in carrying out the renovation of Thimarafushi Airport are required to express their interest through email before May 8. In addition, IASL is also seeking interested parties to operate a cafe’ in the airport. Parties interested in operating the proposed cafe’ must be a registered company in the Maldives, with at least three years of experience.

Thimarafushi Airport was officially opened in 2013. The airport was developed by Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). It remains the only airport in operation in Thaa Atoll.
