Mahjoob Shujau appointed as Managing Director of MACL

The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB) has announced the appointment of Mahjoob Shujau as the Managing Director of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL).

PCB announced Mahjoob Shujau has been appointed as the Managing Director at MACL, and as a board member of the company. He replaces Gordon Andrew Stewart, who was dismissed as CEO and Managing Director last November.

Mahjoob Shujau had previously served in many senior positions at state level, including as the Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation (HDC). He had also overseen the development and operation of Velana International Airport (VIA) as an official of the President’s Office.
