President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have concluded their unofficial visit to Singapore and returned to the Maldives.
The president departed to Singapore for thyroid treatment on February 23, 2022. The president, at 0600hrs on February 24, temporarily transferred power to Vice President Faisal Naseem before undergoing medical treatment. President Solih reassumed presidential responsibilities at 0930hrs, in accordance with Article 123 (a) of the Constitution, after notifying the Speaker of the Parliament in writing.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih reassumed his duties and responsibilities of office after the successful completion of a medical procedure.
