Sri Lankan-based tour operator, Traveller Global, has reopened its offices in the Maldives after a closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The office was reopened by the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Maldives AMJ Sadiq.
Following the reopening of the office, the company said it will continue to provide the services provided by the company in the past. The company also provides travel packages to Sri Lanka and other parts of the world, ticketing, and visa services for Hajj and Umrah trips.
Speaking at the ceremony held to open the Traveler Global Office, High Commissioner Sadiq said Traveller Global reopened its offices at an opportune time. As such, he said traveling is allowed without requiring PCR tests, which will be easier for students residing in Sri Lanka as well as Maldivian families and those travelling to Sri Lanka.
Traveler Global is a passenger service agent (PSA) of SriLankan Airlines in the Maldives. Meanwhile, Sri Lankan Airlines has decided to increase its operations to Addu City, in the south of the Maldives. The opening of the PSA will ease making travel arrangements for those wishing to travel from the airline, according to Sri Lankan Airlines.
Traveller Global opened its first office in the Maldives in 2015.
