Secretary-General of the Muslim World League arrives in the Maldives on an official visit

The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa has arrived in the Maldives this evening, on an official visit, upon the invitation of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa was received at the Velana International Airport by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Ahmed Khaleel, and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During his visit, Secretary-General Sheikh Dr. Al-Issa will call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, Minister of Islamic Affairs Ahmed Zahir, and Minister of Defence Mariya Ahmed Didi. He will also meet with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

The Muslim World League (MWL), also known as the Rabitat al-Alam al-Islami, is an international Non-Governmental Organization established in 1962, which strives to clarify to the world, the true and moderate principles of Islam. The MWL is based in the Holy City of Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
