Ooredoo contest winner stands chance to win island stay

Ooredoo Maldives has begun a social media contest in which participants stand a chance to win a free local island stay by sharing photos of their adventures in the Maldives.

The theme centres around the thrilling adventures in the Maldives, and the winner will receive a two-night free holiday at Thundi Village at Maalhos, Baa Atoll, for two people. Thundi Village at Maalhos is a modern boutique beachfront guesthouse with a total of 18 rooms, a restaurant, a dive school, and a spa, and almost all the rooms include a balcony with a sea view.

The participants can enter by sharing photos or videos from across the country that reflects the given theme of the month, along with #VisitMaldivesNow. The deadline for participation in the contest is February 14, 2022.

Ooredoo Maldives together with Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), Ministry of Tourism, and Orca Media Group Private Limited launched a destination marketing campaign called Visit Maldives Now in September 2021. As part of the destination marketing campaign, Ooredoo and Orca Media Group launched a social media contest inviting participants to share their favourite parts of the Maldives and win stays at guesthouses to boost destination visibility and encourage the world to visit the Maldives.

The main aim of the Visit Maldives Now social media campaign is to create awareness and showcase the hidden beauty of the island nation, creating user-generated content that will enable prospective travelers to view the Maldives through the lens of a local.
