Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has revealed over 100 projects were conducted in the last quarter of 2021.
The 103 projects include 43 harbour development projects, three land reclamation projects, 11 beach protection projects, nine road development projects, and three airport development projects, According to the financial report published by MTCC.
Furthermore, MTCC successfully completed 10 projects in the last quarter of last year. Some of the notable projects completed by MTCC include the harbour development project in Fehendhoo in Baa Atoll, the construction of main roads in Fonadhoo in Laamu Atoll, and the reclamation of land and the development of a picnic island in Maafushi, Kaafu Atoll.
Meanwhile, eight new projects were commenced in the fourth quarter and 18 new projects were contracted to MTCC in the same quarter.
MTCC recorded a turnover of USD 40.5 million in the last quarter of 2021. In this regard, USD 4.3 million was generated as operating profit which is a significant increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2020.
